At SOLbin, we believe self-custody should never come at the cost of speed. Today we're rolling out a smoother way to bring your existing wallets into SOLbin: private key imports for both Solana and Bitcoin, right alongside the classic 12/24-word seed phrase.

No new extension. No custody handoff. Just paste, set a PIN, and trade.

What's new

You can now restore a SOLbin wallet using any of the following:

• 12 or 24-word seed phrase — the full multi-chain experience (SOL, BNB, and BTC from one mnemonic).
• Raw Solana private key — a base58 string or 64-byte JSON array. Restores a Solana-only wallet for fast trading.
• Bitcoin private key — a WIF string (starts with 5, K, or L) or a 64-character hex string. Restores a Bitcoin-only wallet for native sending and signing.

The import screen auto-detects what you've pasted and shows you exactly which chains will be available before you confirm.

How it works

1. Open Import Wallet from the SOLbin onboarding flow.
2. Paste your seed phrase, Solana key, or Bitcoin key.
3. Create a signing PIN (min. 4 digits).
4. Confirm the terms and tap Restore wallet.

Your key is encrypted on-device with AES-256-GCM, derived from your PIN via PBKDF2. It never leaves your browser, and SOLbin never sees it — we can't recover it for you, which is exactly the point.

Why we built it

Seed phrases are the gold standard for recovery, but they're not the only key format people actually hold. Power traders keep raw Solana keys for quick pump.fun sessions. Bitcoiners have WIF strings from legacy wallets. Forcing everyone through a single import path meant friction for the exact users who move fastest.
